Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no major employment gaps in past 36 months.
• Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks and follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Catch birds for vaccination and placement in pen.
• Scan wing bands for identification and badge appropriately.
• Remove wing/leg bands and badges from birds.
• Load spent hens into trailers for live haul and assist with transport.
• Safely operate forklift to move modules and equipment.
• Trim toenails and/or beaks as required.
• Euthanize pedigree birds and transport remains.
• Remove used litter and replace with fresh shavings as scheduled.
• Run belts and augers to move litter and feed; mix litter with loader.
• Perform sanitation and pest-control tasks as needed to maintain biosecurity.
