Job summary

WHEDco in New York, NY is seeking a Project Manager to lead capital construction projects at three mixed-use properties from inception to completion. You will coordinate with the Director of Housing and Real Estate, plan capital work, and measure impact against budgets and programs.

The role requires a bachelor's degree with 2+ years in real estate or related fields, strong organizational and financial analysis skills, and proficiency with MS Office and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in real estate development, property management, urban planning, business, or affordable housing.
• 2+ years of real estate, construction, property or facilities management, affordable housing, or related field.
• Experience in NYC with agencies or direct agency coordination and reporting.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong project management, financial, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Excel for budgets and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Manage WHEDco capital projects from inception to completion across three properties.
• Coordinate funding requisitions, budgeting, design, bidding, and reporting to funding agencies.
• Liaise with residents, vendors, and staff to ensure timely progress and budget adherence.
• Lead on-site and virtual project meetings with stakeholders.
• Monitor energy performance and ensure compliance with NYC codes.
• Maintain asset documentation and support strategic initiatives.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with ECB/OATH, DOB, FDNY, DOHMH, HPD.
• Support sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives.
