Get to Know the Opportunity:

This role is responsible for driving growth with large National Benefit Consulting firms through building and developing relationships, product knowledge, and through proactive problem-solving. This role will support the Sales Leadership, execute strategic initiatives to grow topline revenue, increase pipeline by developing an effective broker consultant channel for an assigned geographical region, and collaborate with our carrier partners in market.

Please Note: Work location for this role is flexible. This position allows 100% remote work from home or allows work to be performed in any of our major office locations with a hybrid schedule.

The Contributions You’ll Make

  • Developing and managing strategic relationships with brokers and consultants to drive revenue growth, increase retention, and expand market share.
  • Increasing market awareness of Benefitfocus's capabilities and the value we deliver to clients and partners.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with Broker Channel Managers, Sales, Account Management, and Carrier Partners to ensure alignment on strategy and execution.
  • Building and executing broker-specific business plans to support territory growth objectives.
  • Providing quarterly relationship health assessments for broker practices within your territory to proactively identify opportunities and risks.
  • Representing Benefitfocus at key industry conferences and events, in partnership with regional sales teams and leadership.
  • Delivering market insights by updating stakeholders on emerging consultant and broker trends that influence our go-to-market approach.
  • Taking on additional responsibilities as needed to support team and organizational goals.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience:

  • 7-10 Years, direct sales, broker sales and/ or broker channel management REQUIRED
  • 10+ Years in the HR, Benefits, Benefit technology space REQUIRED
  • Deep existing relationships with National Benefit Consulting firms in geographic territory HIGHLY PREFERRED
  • Executive level presence and strong/efficient communication skills
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding quota assignment selling through brokers/ consultants, ideally selling enterprise technology and/or services
  • Up to 50% travel to H&B practices within an assigned territory

Preferred Knowledge & Experience

  • Bachelors Degree preferred

Compensation Pay Disclosure

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya may offer incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
