Job summary

BMO is seeking a Business Development Manager to support BrokerEdge clients in Calgary, focusing on growing mortgage-related business and strategic partnerships. The role emphasizes relationship-building with brokers, builder networks, and investment advisor offices to drive revenue and customer outcomes.

You will develop market plans, present program benefits, and coach partners on guidelines while ensuring regulatory compliance and robust risk controls.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree or equivalent combination.
• In-depth knowledge of mortgage programs / products and B2B networks.
• Proven business development success and strong customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains strategic relationships with brokers, brokerages, builders and partner offices.
• Identifies share of wallet opportunities and refers business to key partners.
• Develops market business plans to achieve objectives and drives pipeline growth.
• Trains and coaches internal and external partners on program guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Negotiates pricing, underwriting and presentation of applications with partners.
• Monitors referrals performance and ensures alignment with stakeholders.
