Job summary

BMO Financial Group is seeking a Commercial Sales & Service professional to cultivate and manage relationships with small business clients, driving new business and expanding existing relationships. You will apply consultative sales practices, develop a business plan, and leverage networks to grow market share.

You will identify opportunities, cross-sell products, and deliver excellent service while managing risk and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Typically 4–6 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of business banking products, lending processes and loan documentation.
• Strong experience with customer sales and service.
• Verbal & written communication skills – in-depth.
• Collaboration & team skills – in-depth.
• Analytical and problem solving skills – in-depth.

Responsibilities

• Cultivates, builds, and manages relationships with a portfolio of small business clients.
• Proactively develops and executes sales strategies to attract new business clients and expand existing relationships.
• Develops networks and referral sources for ongoing growth of BMO's business.
• Generates appointments and opportunities to grow business results through targeted sales efforts.
• Identifies prospective customers and cross-sells additional products and services.
