Job summary

Rocky Mountain Public Media is seeking a Broadcast Technology Specialist to support daily technical and operational systems keeping KUNC and The Colorado Sound on the air and available across broadcast and digital platforms.

You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot studio equipment and AoIP networks, support broadcast automation workflows, and collaborate with Programming, Traffic, News, Development, and IT to ensure content airs reliably.

Qualifications

Experience in broadcast operations or related technical field.
Familiarity with broadcast automation and WideOrbit preferred.
Must have valid driver’s license and ability to travel to station facilities and remote sites across Colorado.

Responsibilities

Support the operation, integration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of broadcast automation systems and associated workflows.
Work with Programming, Traffic, News, Development, and other teams to ensure schedules, content, and automation systems operate reliably.
Assist with EAS, transmitter logs, and other regulatory/operational documentation.
Provide hands‑on technical support for studios, production facilities, and live or special‑event operations.
Participate in an on‑call rotation and coordinate responses to broadcast and technical issues.
