Job summary

Encompass Digital Media LLC in Stamford, CT is seeking a Broadcast Engineer to install, test, and repair broadcast television systems and equipment, including video servers, routers, and automation servers.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in Electronics or Computer Science and 3+ years of experience, with the ability to work in a live on-air environment, meet deadlines, and comply with FCC guidelines.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Electronics or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
Three or more years of broadcast engineering experience.
Familiar with broadcast television systems standards and formats.

Responsibilities

Install, repair and maintain complex digital, high-definition and equipment associated with broadcast operations.
Configuration and troubleshooting of computers, servers and IT infrastructure for various broadcast needs.
Provides feedback to the manager of broadcast engineering on progress and status of internal work assignments and vendor issues.
Proficiency in the use of digital test equipment to correct equipment problems including oscilloscopes, waveform monitors, generators and analyzers.
Provides users and customers with professional, courteous, and timely technical support.
Create, and maintain drawings for assigned projects.
Ensures broadcast operations are within current FCC guidelines and regulations.
Performs other special assignments as necessary.
