Aspen Public Radio is seeking an Audio and Operations Specialist to handle production of promos, live broadcasts, field recordings, and community audio projects. The role blends studio work with on-site event support, dispatching traffic logs and maintaining the Zetta automation system to keep programs running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience in audio production and live broadcasting preferred.
• Strong listening skills and teamwork.
• Ability to troubleshoot studio gear and software.

Responsibilities

• Manage the production of audio for promos, fundraising spots, and station imaging campaigns.
• Assist with traffic by scheduling spots and publishing daily logs.
• Manage Zetta automation system and troubleshoot automation/off-air problems.
• Voice promos, IDs, and underwriting spots.
• Troubleshoot studio gear including consoles, mics, IP codecs, and phones.
• Field recording for special projects and Sonic ID Initiative.
• Record lectures/events and post-produce audio for broadcast/website.
• Serve as live sound engineer for events and host live broadcasts.
• Coordinate live broadcasts and support hosting from studio.
• Record and produce membership/marketing promos voiced by non-technical staff.
