Job summary

FOX News Media is seeking a detail-oriented Scheduling Coordinator to manage daily scheduling for technical staff across the FOX News channels and platforms. This role requires close collaboration with staff, freelancers, management and producers to ensure uninterrupted 24/7 broadcasts.

Responsibilities include organizing operator schedules, handling time-off and sick calls, and coordinating with tech managers to align with changing programming. Flexibility for nights/weekends is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in television production or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• Relevant experience in television or broadcast operations.
• Understanding of television production roles and technical crews.
• Strong written and verbal communication; professional phone etiquette.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to interact across departments; adaptable to 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities

• Organize the schedule for technical operators, including staff and freelancers.
• Coordinate time-off requests using WorkDay and Advance Booking Calendars.
• Handle sick calls and arrange cover for shifts.
• Communicate daily crewing needs with tech managers and supervisors.
• Keep producers updated with daily schedule changes.
• Fill open shifts and adjust to programming changes.
• Manage production requests for pre-taped content, rehearsals, and location changes.
• Respond promptly to scheduling needs during breaking news events.
• Update Fabric/Mediapulse scheduling system with software updates.
• Maintain on-call readiness for urgent scheduling needs outside regular hours.
• Carry out special projects or duties as assigned.
