Job summary

Fox News Media in New York is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator for our Technical Operations team. You will organize and manage the daily schedule for technical staff, including staff and freelancers, to keep our 24/7 broadcasts on air.

The role requires collaboration with operations supervisors, managers, producers, and staff, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication. Flexibility to work nights and weekends is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in coordinating schedules for staff and freelancers.
• Understanding of television production roles and workflows.
• Strong verbal and written communication with teams across levels.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word for scheduling and reporting.
• Calm, organized, and able to adapt in a 24/7 news environment.

Responsibilities

• Organize the schedule for technical operators, including staff and freelancers.
• Coordinate time off requests using WorkDay and booking calendars.
• Handle sick calls and arrange shift coverage.
• Communicate daily crewing needs with tech managers and supervisors.
• Keep producers updated on schedule changes and new programming.
• Fill open shifts and adjust for programming changes with the scheduling manager.
• Manage production requests for pre-taped content and location changes.
• Respond promptly to scheduling needs during breaking news.
• Maintain Fabric/Mediapulse scheduling system with updates.
• Occasionally cover on-call duties outside regular hours.
