Job summary

Fox News Media is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator for its Technical Operations Department in New York. The role manages daily scheduling across staff and freelancers, coordinating with operations supervisors, technical managers, and producers to ensure uninterrupted 24/7 broadcasts.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in television production or related field, strong communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Flexibility to work nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in television production or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in scheduling or operations within a broadcast environment.
• Understanding of television production roles and technical crews.
• Strong written and verbal communication, professional phone etiquette.
• Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word and general software tools.
• Ability to stay organized and work under pressure in a 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities

• Organize the schedule for technical operators, including staff and freelancers.
• Coordinate time off requests using WorkDay and booking calendars.
• Handle sick calls and arrange coverage for shifts.
• Communicate daily crewing needs with tech managers and supervisors.
• Keep producers updated on daily schedule changes.
• Fill open shifts and adapt to programming changes with the scheduling team.
• Manage daily production requests for pre-taped content and rehearsals.
• Adjust program locations and requests in internal systems.
• Respond promptly during breaking news and on-call needs.
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
