Job summary

Nexstar Media is seeking a Maintenance Engineer in New York, responsible for managing and maintaining broadcast and technology equipment within the facility. The role includes implementing new technologies and infrastructure, and participating in engineering projects.

You will evaluate, install, service, and maintain broadcast equipment and IT systems, while collaborating with management to meet company objectives and ensure FCC compliance. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of broadcast engineering experience.
• Repair and maintenance of video cameras, video routers, ingest and playout servers, and newscast automation equipment.
• Superior troubleshooting skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Overtime hours, including nights and weekends, may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage broadcast and technology equipment in the facility.
• Assist in implementing new technologies and technical infrastructure.
• Participate in engineering and other technical projects.
• Evaluate, install, service, and maintain facility broadcast equipment and IT systems.
• Collaborate with management and colleagues to achieve company objectives.
• Maintain familiarity with FCC rules and regulations.
• Perform other duties as needed.
