Nexstar Media in Albany, NY seeks a Chief Engineer/Broadcast IT Operations Manager to lead the Engineering and IT departments and shape strategic planning for 24/7 live and on-demand content delivery across platforms.

The role combines traditional broadcast engineering with IP-based workflows, cloud technologies, and disaster-ready redundancy. You will manage teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive capital projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or technical degree in Digital Electronics, Broadcasting, IT, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years in broadcast, IT, or TV production environments.
• Minimum of 3 years in a management/supervisory role leading technical teams.
• CCNA, SBE, SMPTE certifications are a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Engineering and Broadcast IT Departments operations.
• Lead, schedule, and mentor IT and broadcast engineering teams for 24/7 operations.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with FCC and other laws.
• Plan and execute capital projects within budget.
• Maintain high-availability redundancy for live and on-demand content.
