Job summary

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to oversee and maintain broadcast and technology equipment across the facility. The role supports compliance with FCC and other regulations while advancing new technologies and infrastructure.

The position requires hands-on engineering tasks, collaboration with management, and the ability to handle multiple projects with a focus on reliability and performance. Evening and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of broadcast engineering experience.
• Ability to terminate broadcast and IT related cables.
• Experience with broadcast automation systems and RF is preferred.
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Willingness to coach/mentor others to improve knowledge and skills.
• Provide desktop support and maintain IT knowledge.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple assignments.
• Willing to work extended hours, travel overnight, and weekends to maintain equipment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in managing and maintaining all broadcast and technology related equipment within the facility.
• Understand and assist in compliance with FCC, local, state, and federal regulations.
• Help implement new technologies and technical infrastructure for the facility.
• Participate in engineering and other technical projects.
• Evaluate, select, install, service, and maintain facility broadcast equipment and IT systems.
• Work closely with management and co-workers to ensure company objectives are met.
• Other duties as needed.
