Job summary

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. seeks an IT Support Specialist for the Springfield Broadcast Hub to maintain and troubleshoot IT systems and networks in a 24/7 broadcast environment. You will work with Broadcast Engineering, Operations, and corporate IT to ensure reliability and continuity.

The role requires a strong IT background, hands-on troubleshooting, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across teams. On-site position with a fast-paced, mission-critical setting.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Windows OS, hardware, basic server administration and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with patching, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform Ethernet cabling tasks including RJ45 termination and fiber optic cabling.
• Strong organizational, documentation and communication skills; able to work independently and prioritize issues.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows workstations, servers, software, and peripherals; manage MEC for updates and patching.
• Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, user accounts, access permissions, and Bitwarden management.
• Maintain IT assets, documentation, system health, patch compliance, and maintenance schedules.
• Collaborate with Broadcast Engineering, Operations, and corporate IT to minimize disruptions.
