Job summary

Nexstar Media Group's Springfield Broadcast Hub is seeking a proficient IT Support Specialist to maintain, troubleshoot, and support IT systems and network infrastructure in a critical 24/7 broadcast environment.

The role requires strong IT fundamentals, independent working style, and collaboration with Broadcast Engineering, Operations, and corporate IT to ensure system reliability and operational continuity.

Qualifications

Technical degree in IT or related field or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with Windows operating systems, servers, and networking fundamentals.
Experience with patch management and IT support ticket workflows.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows workstations, servers, and peripherals.
Manage endpoint deployments and patch compliance using MEC.
Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and password management with Bitwarden.
Troubleshoot network connectivity, DHCP, DNS, and IP addressing.
Assist with Ethernet cabling, RJ45 termination, and fiber optic installations.
Provide IT support for computer-based broadcast systems and collaborate with Broadcast Engineering.
Maintain IT asset inventories and documentation of configurations and maintenance activities.
