Job summary

Nexstar Media Group's Springfield Broadcast Hub in Springfield, MA is seeking an IT Support Specialist to maintain and troubleshoot critical IT systems and network infrastructure for a 24/7 broadcast operation.

You will work with Broadcast Engineering and corporate IT, installing and supporting Windows workstations and servers, managing patching with MEC, supporting Microsoft 365/AD, and assisting with copper and fiber cabling, while documenting assets and procedures.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent practical IT experience.
• Experience with Windows OS, hardware, basic server administration, and networking fundamentals.
• Experience installing software, patch management and troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform basic Ethernet cabling tasks and fiber cabling.
• Strong organization, documentation and communication; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows workstations, servers, software, and peripherals.
• Manage MEC for security updates, deployments, reboots, and patch monitoring.
• Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, user accounts, and Bitwarden management.
• Perform preventative maintenance, system upgrades, and hardware replacements.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, IP addressing, DHCP, DNS; collaborate with IT.
• Assist with Ethernet and fiber cabling and cable management.
• Coordinate maintenance with Broadcast Engineering to minimize live disruptions.
• Maintain IT asset inventories and documentation of configurations and procedures.
