Job summary

Nexstar Media Group Inc. is seeking a Broadcast IT Engineer to provide comprehensive IT support for our station, including installation and setup of digital broadcast systems.

You will manage Active Directory, servers, VPN access, and email support, while maintaining broadcast and technology equipment. The role requires 3 years of broadcast engineering experience, strong networking skills, and proficiency with Adobe editing systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Strong information technology and networking skills are required.
• Experience with remote desktop applications and VPN is required.
• Knowledge and experience with Adobe editing systems is required.
• Minimum 3 years of broadcast engineering experience.
• Experience with AV switching, video encoding/decoding and file transcoding is a plus.
• Fluency in English with strong verbal and written communication.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; deadline-driven.
• Ability to work extended hours as needed, including overnights/weekends.
• Experience with broadcast automation systems, routers, storage and RF is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT support for the station and assist with installation/setup of broadcast systems.
• Administer IT policies, maintain servers, printers, VPN, and PC workstations.
• Manage and maintain all broadcast/technology equipment at the facility.
• Provide user support for email and desktops; manage Active Directory
• Assist News/Engineering/Production/Sales with quality support services.
• Manage News production server system, content storage, playout, graphics and editing systems.
• Ensure compliance with FCC and other regulations; implement new technologies.
• Evaluate, select, install, and maintain broadcast equipment and IT systems.
• Collaborate with management to meet company objectives and maintain facilities.
