Job summary

Arvig in Ada, MN is hiring a Broadband/Telecom Installation Technician to safely install, test, and repair broadband, internet, TV, and phone services for residential and local business customers.

You’ll run wiring, set up routers and Wi‑Fi, educate customers, and work independently in the field with support from senior technicians. Valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of customer-facing experience.
• Experience operating hand tools and troubleshooting electronics.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to communicate and educate customers about products.

What You’ll Do

As a Broadband/Telecom Installation Technician you will serve as the face of Arvig in the Ada and Twin Valley communities. You will:

• Safely install, test, and repair broadband, internet, TV, and phone services for residential and local business customers
• Run wiring, set up routers/Wi-Fi equipment, and troubleshoot technical issues on-site
• Educate customers on how to use their services and equipment with a friendly, helpful approach
• Work independently in the field while receiving guidance and support from senior team members

What You Need to Succeed

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of customer in customer facing roles
• Experience operating hand tools and troubleshooting electronics, computers, routers, streaming devices or apps
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to effectively communicate and educate customers on company products and functions
• Structure and organized

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience working in a technical field position
• Basic knowledge of telecommunication equipment and installation

Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM; on call rotation required
