Job summary

Armstrong Group is seeking a motivated Broadband Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair Internet and telephone services for residential and commercial customers. You’ll work with fiber-optic technology in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, with a company vehicle and comprehensive benefits.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma (IT/electronics coursework is a plus), and the ability to obtain a BPI certification within 12 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; advanced IT/electronics coursework is a plus.
• Customer-first approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to pass BPI certification within 12 months.
• Physical ability to bend, climb, sit, and lift over 50 pounds; able to work in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot voice and data services using the latest test equipment and follow safety guidelines.
• Maintain vehicle inventory and safety compliance.
• Perform physical tasks like climbing, digging, and drilling as needed, following safety protocols.
• Provide timely, detailed paperwork and feedback to improve services.
• Stay current with training and development through ongoing learning.
• Participate in on-call and shift work as required.

ABOUT THE ROLE
