Job summary

Armstrong is hiring a motivated Broadband Technician to install, troubleshoot and repair our Internet and telephone services for homes and businesses. You will work with cutting-edge fiber-optic technology in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Responsibilities include installing voice/data services, maintaining vehicle inventory, and following safety guidelines. Some on-call and shift work may be required to ensure reliable service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; advanced IT/electronics education is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to pass BPI certification within 12 months.
• Physical ability to bend, climb, sit and lift over 50 pounds.

About The Role

We\u2019re looking for a motivated Broadband Technician to join our team. In this role, you\u2019ll be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of our Internet and telephone services for both residential and commercial customers. You\u2019ll work with cutting-edge fiber-optic technology in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

What You\u2019ll Do

• Install and troubleshoot voice and data services, using the latest test equipment and following our safety and installation guidelines.
• Maintain vehicle inventory and safety compliance.
• Handle physical tasks like climbing, digging, and drilling as needed, while adhering to all safety protocols.
• Provide timely, detailed paperwork and feedback to help improve our services.
• Stay ahead of trends through continuous training and development.
• Participate in on-call and shift work as required.

Who We’re Looking For

• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma (advanced education in IT, electronics, or a related field is a plus!).
• A customer-first approach to problem-solving.
