Job summary

Armstrong Group in the United States is seeking a motivated Broadband Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair fiber-based Internet and telephone services for residential and commercial customers.

You will work with cutting-edge fiber-optic technology, maintain vehicle safety compliance, and participate in on-call shifts; a valid driver’s license and readiness to obtain BPI certification are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma; IT/electronics coursework a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Willingness to pass BPI certification within 12 months.
  • Comfort with physical work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

  • Install and troubleshoot voice and data services with test equipment.
  • Maintain vehicle inventory and safety compliance.
  • Perform climbing, digging, and drilling as needed while following safety protocols.
  • Provide timely paperwork and feedback to improve services.
  • Participate in on-call and shift work as required.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of our Internet and telephone services for both residential and commercial customers. You’ll work with cutting-edge fiber-optic technology in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.WHAT YOU’LL DO:Install and troubleshoot voice and data services, using the latest test equipment and following our safety and installation guidelines.Maintain vehicle inventory and safety compliance.Handle physical tasks like climbing, digging, and drilling as needed, while adhering to all safety protocols.Provide timely, detailed paperwork and feedback to help improve our services.Stay ahead of trends through continuous training and development.Participate in on-call and shift work as required.WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:Valid driver’s license.High school diploma (advanced education in IT, electronics, or a related field is a plus!).A customer-first approach to problem-solving.Ability to pass BPI certification within 12 months.Physical ability to bend, climb, sit, and lift over 50 pounds, and work in various weather conditions.Who We AreThe Armstrong Group is a family owned and operated collection of diverse companies.
