Job summary

AFL is seeking a Director of Operations, Broadband to lead strategic direction and execution of service delivery across multiple regions in the United States. You will own the P&L, drive operational excellence, and scale delivery models to support growth.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in telecom field operations, multi-site leadership, strong financial skills, and excellence in client relationships. This role combines office and field work in a hybrid environment with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of progressive operations experience in telecommunications, broadband, or fiber services.
• Experience managing multi-site field operations and full P&L.
• Strong knowledge of fiber network construction, splicing/termination/testing, and broadband/ISP installation operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction to regional operations managers and field teams delivering broadband construction, installation, and maintenance services.
• Oversee fiber network construction, installation activation, moves/adds/changes, service calls, and repair services.
• Own the P&L for broadband regions, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Drive workforce planning, scheduling, and subcontractor management across regions.
• Build trust-based relationships with clients and coordinate with internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and quality.
