Job summary

AFL Broadband seeks an EHS Manager – Operations to lead environmental, health, safety, and security performance across broadband construction, installation, and field activities. You will protect employees, contractors, customers, and the public while enabling safe, efficient project execution in fast-paced telecom environments.

The role reports to the EHS Director, has stop-work authority when critical controls are absent, and requires close collaboration with AFL leadership, customers,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of EHSS experience in construction, utility, telecommunications, or field-based operations.
• Experience managing EHSS programs in multi-employer construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead proactive EHSS culture across Broadband Operations.
• Identify risks and verify control implementation in field execution.
• Coach leaders and field teams on EHSS requirements and safe work practices.
• Collaborate with customers, contractors, and operations to integrate EHSS into planning and delivery.
• Exercise stop-work authority when critical controls are missing or ineffective.
