Job summary

City of Pharr invites a Full-Time Broadband Laborer to join our team, supporting underground fiber placement and conduit work. You will load materials, operate trenchers and mini excavators, and help restore sites while ensuring safety and quality.

You will work onsite with a dedicated Fiber Manager, close work orders, upload photos, and assist with running fiber/cabling as needed to expand community connectivity. Background check required.

Qualifications

What's your day like?

As a Full-Time Broadband Laborer with the City of Pharr, you will play a vital role in the execution of construction tasks crucial for underground telecommunications cable and fiber placement. Your responsibilities will include loading and delivering materials, operating various hand tools and mechanical equipment such as trenchers, mini excavators, and trenchless piercing tools. Collaboration is key, as you will assist team members in manual labor activities and contribute to site restoration efforts, ensuring high‑quality standards are met.
