Job summary

City of Pharr is hiring a Full Time Broadband Engineering Specialist to lead field operations and fiber optic construction. You will inspect conduits, hand holes, and vaults, perform fusion splicing, read construction blueprints, and supervise subcontractors to ensure safety and compliance.

You should have FTTH/network expertise, WAN/LAN/WLAN management skills, and proficiency with diagnostic tools such as OTDRs, VFLs, and meters, plus GIS and MS Office.

Qualifications

  • Ability to implement, manage, and monitor local and wide area networks.
  • Experience with wireless networks and network diagnostic tools.
