Job summary

U.S. Facilities, Inc. is seeking a Bridge-Tunnel Lead Operation Crewmember at our Virginia site. The role directs and coordinates traffic control efforts, supervises contractors, and collaborates with VDOT Operations to ensure staffing and safety compliance.

You will participate in candidate selection, onboarding, and training of new personnel, develop schedules, and manage shifts to maintain a 24/7 operation. A strong focus on safety and communication is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of Traffic Control operations and extensive customer service.
• 2-3 years directing and controlling traffic.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the work of OBT contractors to ensure quality and contract compliance.
• Coordinate staffing needs with VDOT Operations managers and supervise contractor shifts.
• Lead in candidate selection, interviewing, onboarding, and orientation processes.
• Oversee training for newly classroom-trained personnel and track progress.
• Develop schedules and handle personnel issues including unplanned absences.
• Ensure 24-7-365 coverage and communicate with VDOT HRHT Control Rooms.
• Act as USF representative during high-impact events and incidents.
• Maintain incident reports and timesheets; manage employee files.
• Respond to emergencies while enforcing safety and security protocols.
