Job summary

Branch Civil is seeking a Bridge/Structures Foreman to supervise a heavy highway/bridge crew in field operations. This role partners with the Structures Superintendent to ensure quality workmanship and strict safety compliance, with you acting as the site’s front-line safety officer.

You will read blueprints, coordinate plan execution, manage materials and equipment, train workers, conduct morning meetings, and participate in safety programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years’ experience managing a crew in heavy highway/bridge construction.
• 5+ years of heavy civil/structures construction experience.
• OSHA 10 Certification.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Fleet Policy requirements.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
• Hands-on experience with pile driving, concrete forming/placing, precast/construction, and structural steel erection.
• Knowledge of bridge construction equipment and forming systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise bridge & structures crew on heavy highway projects and ensure crew relations with Owner/Engineer and team.
• Builds job by plans and specifications as directed by supervisor.
• Plan activities with Superintendent to meet project goals and determine methods.
• Ensure proper storage of materials and equipment and maintain inventory.
• Operate and maintain equipment under their control and apply relevant safety practices.
• Record and report daily activity, quantities, and materials.
• Enforce safety programs and OSHA compliance; conduct post-incident investigations.
• Identify training needs and career growth opportunities; participate in weekly planning and safety meetings.
