Job summary

Primoris Heavy Civil in Shreveport, LA oversees and directs field operations for bridge and structural construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

You will lead crews, interpret plans, enforce safety policies, monitor progress and costs, manage materials and equipment, and mentor junior workers on-site.

The role requires reading blueprints, coordinating with PMs and subcontractors, and maintaining accurate reports in a fast-paced outdoor setting.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred.
• Proven ability to read construction plans and shop drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a crew of workers, assigning tasks and giving clear directions.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents for accurate execution.
• Enforce company safety policies and conduct safety meetings and inspections.
• Monitor daily progress, track project costs, and manage material and equipment use.
• Communicate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve issues and maintain flow.
• Perform quality control inspections to meet project specs and standards.
• Operate heavy equipment such as cranes, excavators, and pile drivers as needed.
• Maintain daily reports, timecards, and other project documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve on-site problems efficiently.
• Train and mentor junior crew members.
