Job summary

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) Crawfordsville District is seeking a Bridge Maintenance Laborer to coordinate work crews and perform routine and emergency bridge repairs and inspections. You will contribute to highway safety and customer satisfaction through maintenance and winter operations.

Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED and a valid CDL (Class A or B) with endorsements. CDL may earn an additional hourly rate; CDL training is provided onsite where needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• The role requires a valid CDL and the ability to obtain endorsements.
• Knowledge of safety policies and highway guidelines is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate highway maintenance and traffic equipment to repair and clean highways.
• Perform winter operations and snow/ice removal.
• Coordinate routine and emergency bridge repairs and inspections.
• Assist with special highway repair projects as needed.
• Maintain documentation of maintenance in the Work Management System.
