Job summary

The New York City Department of Transportation, Division of Bridges, is seeking a Community Coordinator to support outreach for bridge capital and maintenance projects across all five boroughs. You will coordinate communications with residents, businesses, officials, and community groups, ensuring timely and accurate information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in community work or related duties, or six years with high school diploma.
• Excellent verbal, written, editing, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines across several active projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement community outreach strategies for bridges projects.
• Coordinate with Community Construction Liaisons and project teams.
• Prepare agendas, presentations, and meeting minutes.
• Distribute project notices and manage stakeholder inquiries.
• Attend meetings and field visits to monitor outreach.
