Job summary

The City of New York seeks a Community Coordinator to support outreach for the DOT Division of Bridges projects. You will work with executives and managers to plan, coordinate, and deliver information to residents, businesses, and officials about bridge rehabilitation, maintenance, and related activities.

The role involves developing outreach strategies, reviewing notices and materials, and coordinating with stakeholders across five boroughs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience in community work or related duties.
• Two years of experience in community work or community-centered activities for degree holders.
• Alternative: high school diploma plus six years of relevant experience; at least one year of experience if using the alternative path.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement community outreach strategies for bridge projects.
• Coordinate with Community Construction Liaisons across boroughs to support outreach.
• Onboard and train new Community Construction Liaisons on policies and procedures.

Education

Baccalaureate degree

Six years of related experience (high school diploma)
