Job summary

William Charles Construction, a MasTec Company, is seeking a Project Engineer to support bridge and paving projects in Southern Illinois. You will assist the Project Manager and Estimator with day-to-day administration to ensure estimates are accurate and projects meet deadlines and budgets.

The role involves coordinating schedules, submittals, and procurement, while upholding OSHA safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; combination of education and experience may be considered
• Experience in construction industry, preferably bridges & structures projects

Responsibilities

• Attend project turnover meetings (estimating to operations)
• Assist in generating/maintaining project schedules (cash flow and workload)
• Attend job meetings
• Manage submittals, purchase orders, change orders, and subcontractor agreements
• Ensure work complies with OSHA standards and company policies
• Prepare CPM schedules using estimated productions
• Prepare QA/QC plans and maintain QA/QC records
• Assist in preparing project closing documents
