Job summary

William Charles Construction, a MasTec Company, seeks a Project Engineer to support bridge and paving projects in Southern Illinois. You will assist the Project Manager and Estimator with day-to-day PM and estimating activities to ensure accuracy and projects stay on time and within budget.

Responsibilities include scheduling, submittals, change orders, safety compliance, QA/QC, and coordination with subcontractors. A civil eng/CM degree and Procore, P6, and MS Office familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering or construction management preferred.
• Experience with bridges or structures is a plus.
• Proficiency in common PM tools and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Attend project turnover meetings and assist estimating to operations.
• Help generate and maintain project schedules and cash flow.
• Set up submittals, purchase orders, change orders, and subcontractor agreements.
• Ensure work complies with OSHA standards and company policies.
• Assist in QA/QC plans and maintain related records.
• Prepare CPM schedules and takeoffs; assist with pricing for materials.
