Job summary

William Charles Construction, a MasTec Company, is seeking a Project Engineer to support bridge and paving projects in Southern Illinois. You will assist the Project Manager and Estimator with day-to-day administrative tasks to ensure accurate estimates and on-time, on-budget project completion.

The role involves schedule coordination, submittal management, contract review, and QA/QC documentation, with opportunities for career growth in a broad heavy civil environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil/construct ion management or related field preferred.
• Experience in construction industry, bridges & structures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend project turnover meetings (estimating to operations).
• Assist in generating/maintaining project schedules (cash flow and workload).
• Attend job meetings and assist with submittals, purchase orders, change orders, and subcontractor agreements.
• Ensure work complies with OSHA standards and company policies.
• Assist in preparing CPM schedules using estimated production rates.
• Maintain QA/QC plans and records, and assist with project closing documents.
