Job summary

MoDOT in Willow Springs, MO is seeking a Bridge Maintenance Worker to perform routine and emergency repairs on state highway bridges under general supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must pass CDL exam portions within 60 days of hire (Class B, tanker endorsement, interstate status).
• Annual cardiopulmonary function test and respirator fit testing.
• Successful completion of a work simulation and medical-physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and emergency bridge repairs, including concrete and steel work, paints and seals caps, and deck replacement.
• Paints structural steel bridges using spray equipment after surface prep.
• Assists in preventative maintenance on bridges in the state highway system.
• Sets up traffic control devices and flags work zones.
• Operates vehicles and equipment to transport materials and crew to job sites; performs preventive maintenance.
