MoDOT’s Bridge Maintenance Worker position is based at the Bridge Maintenance Facility in Hannibal or Macon. You will perform routine and emergency bridge repairs, including concrete and structural steel work, painting, and deck repair, while coordinating traffic control and safety.

Qualifications

• Requires significant physical stamina and endurance.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Cardiopulmonary function test yearly and respirator training required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency bridge repairs, including concrete and structural steel work.
• Paint bridges and prepare surfaces for coating using spray equipment.
• Assist in preventative maintenance on state highway bridges.
• Set up traffic control devices and manage work-zone safety.
• Operate vehicles and equipment to move materials and crew to sites.
