Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Bridge Inspection Project Manager/Team Leader based in Denver with flexibility to work from Utah, Arizona, Idaho, or Montana. The role focuses on leading the Mountain/Pacific Northwest Region Bridge Inspection Group, securing bridge inspection and load rating work, and mentoring staff.

You will collaborate with the group lead to expand the team, manage projects, oversee budgets, and travel for client interactions and field inspections.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
• Professional Engineering Licensure.
• 10+ years of NBIS bridge inspection experience.
• NBIS Certified Bridge Inspection Team Leader with current certification.
• NHI/FHWA fracture critical inspection certifications (130078).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for bridge inspection, directing projects and deliverables within the region.
• Lead large, complex bridge inspection projects, manage budgets, hours, expenses, and supervise staff and subcontractors.
• Develop business, pursue new work with state, transit and local clients, and support regional growth.
• Lead contract negotiations, presentations, and client meetings.
• Mentor staff and guide professional development within the team.
• Maintain current knowledge of structural engineering practices and collaborate across disciplines.
