WSP Global Inc. seeks an experienced Structural Engineering Technical Director - Bridge Inspection District Manager to lead our North and South Carolina bridge inspection practice.

The hybrid role can sit in Mooresville, NC or other NC/SC locations, coordinating district-wide programs and overseeing TEC Leads to deliver quality inspections and sustainable growth. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer license; multi-state licensure preferred (NC & SC).
• 12+ years NBIS bridge inspection experience with leadership of large programs.
• Experience managing bridge inspection programs for DOTs or comparable agencies.
• Proven track record leading senior technical leaders and multi-state teams.
• Strong QA/QC, safety, risk management, project delivery, and financial performance.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within NC and SC.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to statewide Bridge Inspection TEC Leads, ensuring technical excellence and staff development.
• Establish and maintain consistent inspection practices, QA/QC standards, and delivery processes across NC/SC.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and ethical decision-making aligned with WSP policies.
• Identify workforce needs and support strategic hiring aligned with current/future DOT programs.
• Ensure NBIS and state/client requirements compliance.
• Provide senior technical review for load ratings, fracture-critical bridges, scour, and specialty inspections.
• Serve as district technical authority for inspection methodologies and new tech adoption.
• Lead business development for bridge inspection services across NC/SC; pursuit strategy and client interviews.
• Oversee district workload planning, staffing utilization, and financial performance.
• Develop annual business plans, revenue forecasts, and tactical actions.
• Collaborate with clients, regulators, and internal leadership; cross-sell with other disciplines.
