Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an experienced Structural Engineering Technical Director - Bridge Inspection District Manager to lead district‑level bridge inspection programs across North and South Carolina. This hybrid role sits in selected NC/SC locations and partners with DOTs to deliver multi‑year programs and growth.

You will supervise statewide TEC Leads, ensure QA/QC adherence, and guide complex inspections while expanding client relationships with NCDOT, SCDOT, and municipalities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET‑accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license; multi‑state licensure preferred (NC & SC).
• 12+ years of progressive experience in bridge inspection under NBIS, with leadership of complex programs or districts.
• Experience managing bridge inspection programs for NCDOT/SCDOT or similar agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide district leadership for statewide bridge inspection practices, ensuring technical excellence and staff development.
• Lead and support business development for bridge inspection services across NC/SC, including proposals and client engagement.
• Oversee district workload, staffing, revenue growth, backlog, and financial performance; align with regional targets.
• Collaborate with district, regional, and national leadership to drive growth and cross‑selling of services.
