Job summary

Civil Design, Inc. (CDI) seeks a Bridge Engineer – Project Manager to lead structural design teams on transportation projects across multiple offices, including Louisville, KY.

You will manage projects, sign/seal where required, and coordinate with clients, contractors, and officials to deliver safe, economical bridges and related structures. Ideal candidates bring a PE, a Master’s in civil/structural engineering, 10+ years of bridge design, and DOT project experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• IL Structural Engineer licensure preferred.
• Team Leader Bridge Inspection certification preferred.
• 10+ years of bridge design experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural engineering projects: define scope and budgets, direct design, and coordinate with staff and partners.
• Sign/seal work as required.
• Analyze and design transportation structures including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and sign structures.
• Serve as a key contact with clients, contractors, and local officials.
• Collaborate with CDI Structural Service Leadership and engineers to develop solutions.
• Ensure compliance with CDI safety procedures.
• Assist in proposal preparation.
• Lead cross‑functional collaboration to deliver effective solutions.
