Qualifications
- Enrolled in a Civil or Structural Engineering bachelor’s or master’s program.
- Completed statics and mechanics of materials coursework.
- Finished two design courses (concrete/steel/wood/masonry).
- Basic understanding of structural engineering fundamentals.
- Interest in bridge and transportation structures.
- GPA ≥ 3.0 in undergrad courses.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Team-oriented and analytical problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with analysis and design of bridge components and related transportation structures under licensed engineers.
- Prepare and check engineering calculations, sketches, quantities, and supporting docs.
- Support development of plans, details, and deliverables using CAD and structural analysis software.
- Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and disciplines to address project constraints.
- Contribute to team discussions, quality reviews, and problem-solving.
- Participate in Weekly Intern Training Series and mentoring opportunities.
