Job summary

Lochmueller Group is seeking a Structural Project Engineer / Project Manager to join our Structural Engineering team in Northern Indiana. This role focuses on bridge design for DOT and local agencies, with opportunities to grow project management skills while expanding technical expertise.

The ideal candidate will have 7–10 years in structural engineering, PE certification, and strong organization and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of structural engineering experience with an emphasis on bridge design.
• PE certification and civil engineering degree required.
• Experience managing projects and familiarity with DOT/local agency work.

Responsibilities

• Perform as a project engineer and/or project manager on bridge design projects for DOT and local agencies.
• Lead the preparation of complete design and construction documents for bridges.
• Plan and coordinate engineering work and schedules.
• Provide bridge inspection services and act as a technical advisor.
• Prepare scopes, budgets, and proposals; assist with funding applications.
• Support management and take on additional related responsibilities as needed.
