Job summary

Lochmueller Group is seeking a talented Structural Project Engineer / Project Manager to join our Structural Engineering team in Northern Indiana. The ideal candidate will lead DOT and local bridge projects, prepare design and construction documents, and manage budgets and schedules while growing PM skills.

With 7–10 years of bridge-focused structural experience and a PE license, you will work cross-functionally to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery of infrastructure projects for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering; structural emphasis helpful.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required or in process.
• 7–10 years of structural engineering experience with bridge design focus.
• Experience with project management and related software advantageous.
• Excellent organization, written and verbal communication, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project engineer and/or project manager on DOT and local bridge projects.
• Lead preparation of complete design and construction documents for bridges.
• Plan and coordinate engineering work and schedules.
• Provide bridge inspection services and act as technical advisor.
• Prepare scopes, budgets, and proposals; support funding applications.
• Contribute to other projects and responsibilities as opportunities arise.
