Job summary

Lochmueller Group, a regional engineering consultant, seeks a Structural Project Engineer / Project Manager for our Northern Indiana Structures team. The role involves leading bridge design projects for DOT and local agencies, with responsibilities spanning design, documentation, budgeting, and coordination.

Candidates should have PE and 7–10 years in structural bridge work. We value strong communication, organization, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis helps
• Professional Engineer (PE) required
• 7–10 years of structural engineering experience, focus on bridge design
• Experience with project management and accounting software is beneficial
• Excellent organization, written and verbal communication, and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities

• Lead project engineer/manager on DOT/local bridge design projects
• Prepare design and construction documents for bridges
• Plan and coordinate engineering work and budgets
• Assist management as a technical advisor and proposal support
