Job summary

CTL Engineering in Raleigh, NC is seeking Bridge Engineers at all levels to lead design and analysis from conception to completion. You will design, analyze, and evaluate bridge structures to meet NCDOT standards, collaborating with agencies and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• MSCE preferred but not required.
• Bridge engineering experience with focus on NCDOT projects.
• Strong knowledge of NCDOT design standards and procedures.
• Proficiency in bridge design software: LARSA, Merlin Dash, Leap Bridge.
• Familiarity with MicroStation and OpenBridge is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee bridge design and analysis projects per State DOT requirements.
• Perform structural analysis and design for various bridge types (new, widening, rehab).
• Prepare and review engineering reports, drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure projects meet budget and schedule constraints.
• Conduct field inspections and evaluations of existing bridges.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
• Maintain knowledge of State DOT policies, guidelines and best practices.
