Job summary

CTL Engineering is seeking a Sr. Bridge Engineer to lead and manage bridge design projects from conception through completion in Charlotte, NC.

You will design, analyze, and evaluate bridge structures to meet NCDOT standards and collaborate with municipal agencies and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has 10–15+ years of bridge experience, a NC PE license, and a strong track record in project leadership, client communication, and delivering high-quality infrastructure projects on time

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of North Carolina required.
• 10–15+ years of bridge engineering experience, NC DOT focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee bridge design and analysis projects per NCDOT requirements.
• Perform structural analysis and design for new, widened, and rehab bridges.
• Prepare and review reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure projects meet budget and schedule constraints.
• Conduct field inspections of bridge conditions.
• Mentor junior engineers and staff.
• Stay current with NCDOT policies and industry best practices.
