Job summary

CTL Engineering seeks a Sr. Bridge Engineer to lead and manage bridge design projects from conception through completion.

You will design, analyze, and evaluate bridge structures to ensure safety, functionality, and compliance with NCDOT standards, collaborating with municipal agencies and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has 10–15+ years in bridge engineering, a NC PE license, and proficiency in major bridge design software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; PE license in NC required.
• MSCE is preferred for advanced bridge design roles.
• 10–15+ years of bridge engineering experience focusing on NCDOT projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee bridge design and analysis projects in accordance with NCDOT requirements.
• Perform structural analysis and design for various types of bridge structures, including new constructions, widening and rehabilitations.
• Prepare and review engineering reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure projects adhere to budgetary and scheduling constraints.
• Conduct field inspections and evaluations of existing bridge conditions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NCDOT policies, guidelines, and industry best practices.
