Job summary

Woolpert is seeking a Bridge Design Engineer to join our Transportation team in Florida. As a bridge engineer, you will lead design for bridges, retaining walls, and culverts, collaborating with Licensed Professionals and interns to deliver transportation projects.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's in civil engineering, 8+ years of bridge experience, and a Florida PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D or Bentley OpenRoads is preferred.

Qualifications

• ABET Accredited status is required.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited program.
• Florida Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with steel and concrete bridge design.
• Experience with bridge analysis software such as OpenBridge Designer/Bentley tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform bridge, retaining wall, and culvert design tasks.
• Prepare project analyses, load ratings, and construction plans.
• Review calculations and plans for accuracy.
• Conduct hydraulic studies related to bridge design.
• Mentor and support other engineers.
