Labellapc is currently seeking a qualified Bridge Engineer for our Richmond, VA office. This position requires leading analysis and design of local and state DOT bridge projects.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, 7-10 years of experience, and proficiency in relevant engineering tools. Benefits include flexible work schedule, health and dental insurance, 401k plan, and more.

Qualifications

• 7 to 10 years of experience in bridge engineering.
• Preferably possess EIT Certificate or the ability to obtain it.
• Experience with VDOT and local government projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis, design and detailing of DOT bridge projects.
• Attend meetings and conferences as necessary.
• Prepare reports and conduct field reconnaissance.

Job description

We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill a Bridge Engineer position in our Richmond, VA office.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Leading analysis, design, and detailing local and state DOT bridge projects under the supervision of Senior level bridge engineers.
• Attend meetings and conferences when necessary/required.
• Other responsibilities may include report preparation, field reconnaissance and inspection.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (with concentration in structural engineering) from an ABET Accredited College.
• 7 to 10 years of experience.
• Preferably have their EIT Certificate (or the ability to obtain within 12 months) – PE License is a plus.
• Experience with MicroStation, OpenBridge Modeler, AASHTOware, AutoCAD, and MathCAD is a plus.
• Experience with VDOT and local government projects and their design software is a plus.
• Familiarity with reinforced concrete and steel design.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word & Excel.
• Desire to work in a team environment.
